Although there are so many different types of guitar available today, a lot of users much prefer playing on a relic guitar. These relic guitars look just like their predecessors of years gone by but are made from modern materials instead. More often than not, these guitars are much the same price as modern guitars, although some custom guitars can be fairly expensive. These guitars are made to look older than they are by a process known as relicing; meaning scratches, nics and blemishes are added to give it that appearance of an old guitar. However, even though they look older, these guitars play and sound like modern guitars, and they’ll last for years.

There are many companies that manufacturer these retro relic guitars Fender are amongst the most well known. They make some of the best relic guitars in the world. Nash Guitars is another company that sells vintage guitars. The owner builds the guitars himself and them sells them on. Other companies will actually take customer’s guitars and apply a relic process to them, aging the instruments until they appear to be decades old.
